Multiple images can be ganged up on individual sheets of decals, meaning you can bring down costs when you need larger numbers of items. The dry transfer application is easy and a helpful burnishing tool is provided with each order. If you’re working with white lettering, logos or other visual elements, custom rub-on transfers for plastic produce a superior appearance when compared to waterslide decals because there is none of the transfer media left on the surface. Our Custom Dry Transfer Decals Are Easy-to-Apply on Any Smooth Plastic Surface

In addition to appearance, durability on plastics can be an essential consideration and custom decals bond firmly and securely when transferred with a burnishing tool. Because the application process is straightforward and involves nothing more than rubbing them on, there’s less chance for slippage or loss of position. Dry transfer lettering is the ideal replacement for the former Letraset process and retains all of its advantages and durability. Even fine print and small details adhere firmly and can be made permanent with a coat of varnish after they are applied. When viewed up close, custom dry transfer lettering and logos on plastic will appear clear and concise. For electronics prototypes, smaller details on circuit boards and similar surfaces have produced excellent results that also are semi-permanent.

Image Transfers are custom dry rub-on transfer specialists. We make only one thing: custom rub down transfers for graphic designers, artists, and model-makers. A dry transfer (or rubdown) is an image printed on a translucent sheet. The image has a coating of adhesive on its back. The image is transferred from the translucent sheet onto another surface by applying light pressure in a rubbing motion. The dry transfer can be applied to any surface that is free of dust, grease or oil. Dry transfers are referred to as DRY because they are applied dry, without the use of water or solvents. A dry transfer is not a slip-off label or a water decal, instead, the transferred image appears as if it was printed directly onto the item. Our dry transfers are opaque because we back the colors with white, so our rubdowns can be applied to a surface of any color without changing the color of the rub-on transfer. We consider dry transfers a semi-permanent application. A top coat of clear lacquer can make them more permanent. Our production artists can match all Pantone Matching System (PMS) colors including Metallic. Standard transfers are semi-gloss but we also offer matte and uncoated finishes. We deliver within as little as 24 hours. -- Specialties: Custom Rub Down Dry Transfers, Art Gallery Signage & Museum Labels, Custom Transfers for Product Prototypes, Comps & Mock-ups, Dry Transfers for Scale Models. Decals for Glass and reversed transfer decals for inside glass cases.

  1. Hello, I work for a medical electronics repair company. On a specific unit we work on, there are times we may have to replace a character on the front plastic bezel of the unit. It’s 1/2″ or 12mm font size. Either the letter “A” or the Letter “B’. I can send a picture if that helps. The item was originally marked probably using a pad printing method. We would like to find a durable quick re-apply method. Is your product something we could use on this? Is it durable against being wiped by a cleaning product, is it easily scraped away? Is it possible to get just sheets of “A” and “B”? I am interested to know, and would like to figure this problem out sooner than later. Thank you.

Shamus, We can certainly do the font size you require. Our transfers are lacquer ink with lacquer adhesive. Since adhesive is only on the image area, after applied, it will look like the replacement letters are printed right on your plastic bezel. Our pricing goes by artboard size area with letter being the smallest size sheet we offer. You (or we) can gang-up the letter A or the letter B or a combination of what you need to fill the artboard. We would give you a reasonable amount of space around each letter so you don’t accidentally rub down an adjacent one. Prices are published on our website. If you can supply vector artwork that would be your only cost. If you needed us to set up the sheets that would be additional. Photo would help determine what font or if you can identify for us, great. Transfers are pretty durable. You can certainly clean over them. Just don’t use bestine or lacquer solvent. They can be scratched if someone intentionally wanted to do that. Let us know if you have further questions. We hope we can work on this project with you. Luann
